The IMP Group is an informal international group of scholars concerned with developing concepts and knowledge in the field of business-to-business marketing and purchasing. Early work focused on the nature and management of the relationships between companies in the international market. More recently, however, this perspective has been widened to incorporate the study of the complex networks within which business communities operate and how they interact.
The IMP Group is the largest group in the world dealing specifically with marketing issues in a business-to-business context. Primarily based in Europe and North America, this will be the first time that the IMP Group has met in Africa.
